IMG Timeline & Fees for ERAS 

Starting September 6th, the MyERAS system opens to allow applicants to start submitting applications & documents to residency programs.  Below you’ll find pertinent dates in the Match 2017 cycle.  Always remember, it can take roughly 10 days for LORs, Personal Statements, and other documents to upload to the ERAS system.  There’s still time remaining to earn final USCE and LORs prior to this deadline, contact us immediately if interested!

SEPTEMBER 6

At 9:00 a.m., Eastern Time in the United States, on September 6, you can start using the MyERAS website to transmit your MyERAS application, supporting documents, and Personal Statement(s) to residency programs.
Programs will not have access to applications until September 15 at 9:00 a.m., Eastern Time in the United States. All applications submitted September 6 through September 15 will appear to programs as being submitted on September 15. ERAS Support Services at ECFMG highly recommends that you submit all of your supporting documents no later than September 1 to guarantee their availability on September 15 when programs begin accessing applications.

SEPTEMBER 15

Registration for the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP), or “the Match,” opens at 12:00 p.m., Eastern Time in the United States, on the NRMP website. Register now!

ERAS Support Services strongly recommends that Medical Student Performance Evaluations (MSPEs) be submitted by applicants via ECFMG’s OASIS no later than September 15 in order to be transmitted to programs on October 1. Documents submitted by medical schools via EMSWP will be processed and transmitted within two business days.

OCTOBER 1
MSPEs are released to programs by ERAS.

NOVEMBER 30
NRMP Match standard registration deadline. (You may register after this deadline, but you will be required to pay an additional late registration fee to the NRMP.)

FEBRUARY 22
NRMP Match registration and rank order list certification deadline at 9:00 p.m., Eastern Time in the United States.

MARCH 13-17
Match week

MAY 31
ERAS application closes, ending current ERAS season.

JULY 1
Residency training begins.

Fees

There are fees associated with the services provided by ECFMG, AAMC, and NRMP. You must ensure that you satisfy all fee requirements; otherwise, a hold may be placed on your ERAS application and NRMP activities, and ECFMG will not process your requests.
